View Full Version : Seattle = most hated US city? irehtman 05-31-2014, 05:14 PM Does anybody think that Seattle, Washington is considered the most hated US city recently? Sal 05-31-2014, 09:46 PM I would have to say Buffalo, NY. I know Cleveland gets picked on a lot but honestly is there any US city where you would rather NOT be than Buffalo? The reasons are many and some are rather obvious: the winters are brutally long, there's always a chance of a fire breaking out in one of their oddly-named suburbs, either in Tonawanda, Lackawanna, or Cheektowaga, their main sports teams the Bills and Sabres both suck badly, and their local TV programming is painful to watch and sometimes unintentionally hilarious, especially their stupid commercials (Cellino and Barnes, "Hurt in a car, Call William Mattar", Fuccillo the used car dealer, etc). You'd have a hard time topping Buffalo in the general hate department---unless Seattle was to get an NHL team instead of another Canadian city. Then I'd have to think about it some more. But right now, it's no contest! Vahan 05-31-2014, 10:00 PM I'd say Chicago and San Francisco are the most hated cities of all time. OH Nuts! 06-01-2014, 09:30 PM If I were to divine a guess, I'd say Detroit, MICH or Gary, IN Family Ties Forever! 06-02-2014, 12:32 AM Does anybody think that Seattle, Washington is considered the most hated US city recently? Just curious, why do you think Seattle might be the most hated city? What's wrong with Seattle? Zoneboy 06-02-2014, 12:38 AM Just curious, why do you think Seattle might be the most hated city? What's wrong with Seattle? He's probably mad because the Seahawks won the Superbowl. ABlairican Pie 06-02-2014, 10:49 AM I work here in Seattle. I hate it because I get on the bus and it reeks of marijuana. I've seen people smoke it openly out here in the streets. Seriously. Seattle acts like it has this chip on its shoulder of being so self-important and hip and highbrow. I'm from a middle class area in South King County. Sometimes it can be cool to walk through downtown Seattle, but a lot of the time, the people here think they're "all that". MrCleveland 06-02-2014, 11:35 AM I thought Cleveland would be the most hated city in the U.S. Our river catches on fire, we were the 1st city since the 30's to go in default, our sports teams haven't won in almost 50 years (And I think they'll reach that mark)! And our beaches...you might as well pee in Lake Erie if you go to Edgewater Park! irehtman 06-02-2014, 09:05 PM This is my real reason why I hate Seattle: Too many lame deaths by different types of killings in that city, such as avalanche for example! ABlairican Pie 06-03-2014, 10:59 AM Actually, the Oso disaster happened up north of Seattle in a rural area of Snohomish County some miles away. But there have been some bad mudslides which have taken away homes and lives when it rains like crazy on Puget Sound. We're just waiting for the big earthquake to hit and cause a major tsunami which will inundate the city, which authorities and experts have been predicting for a while. As well as when Mt. Rainier will erupt and cause flash floods. It's crazy they're still building in the foothills. Regulus 06-05-2014, 05:50 PM One of Seattle's suburbs, Puyallup has the only State Fair ground with a Wooden Roller Coaster. It also has the honor for a coaster with the shortest operationing season (It only runs for three weeks a year) If you come for the or the Spring Fling Fair or the Western Washington Fair don't forget your "Mad Money" for this ride because it Isn't included in their "Pay one price" ride package. I spent 30 bucks to ride this coaster in 1989 Rides on the coaster cost two dollars a ride or three rides for five dollars. BTW IMO this wooden coaster is better than the one at nearby Wild Waves Park irehtman 06-07-2014, 04:29 PM Well now the deadly shooting has recently increased right now in Seattle! robyrob 06-07-2014, 08:48 PM Well now the deadly shooting has recently increased right now in Seattle! that's a tad insensitive bro. ohno: irehtman 06-07-2014, 10:16 PM that's a tad insensitive bro. ohno: How about that big Seattle University shooting recently? robyrob 06-08-2014, 01:19 AM How about that big Seattle University shooting recently? yes - it s a tragedy, not something you should be celebrating because it supports your "theory". |
