View Full Version : scrolling text Mossopp 03-08-2002, 03:02 PM How do you get it? Bootsy Whoosh 03-08-2002, 03:06 PM I was wondering about that too! And the bouncing text. I know Amanda gave the HTML tags for it awhile back, but HTML doesn't work here. Anyone know the vB code for it? Also, how do you guys get your siggys to be centered, like how Karli and Delta Burke Forever have the pictures in their siggy centered? CENTER- <center> </center> Kay Scarpetta 03-08-2002, 05:08 PM The scrolling text is a Marquee code- <marquee> [enter writing here] </marquee> :D and like Jenny said, <center> </center> is the HTML code for centering. Mossopp 03-08-2002, 06:00 PM That marquee thing doesn't work for me! What am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts! All you have to do is put <marquee> before the letters you want scrolling, and </marquee> after them I don't know what your doing wrong :( Mossopp 03-08-2002, 06:06 PM Originally posted by Jean Smart Forever Hmmm.... Tell me what you want scrolling and what colors and stuff and I could PM it to you. -shrugs- Just let me know :) Mossopp 03-08-2002, 06:15 PM Originally posted by Jean Smart Forever Well if you really want it, I guess I could try for you. Thing is, that wee gray box at the bottom of the page - "Forum Rules" - says HTML is off. Is that my problem, you think? And, the HTML thing... that can't be it, because it says it on mine too but I have the scrolling thing in my siggy. Hm. Sorry :( Hope you get it soon. Bootsy Whoosh 03-08-2002, 07:09 PM Mossopp, you're not the only one who can't get it to work. I tried to get it to work the other day and it didn't. <marquee>Test</marquee> Test <center>Test</center> Test See? Warm & Fuzzy 03-08-2002, 07:16 PM Nevermind. I was just posting for a test-drive. TJ 03-08-2002, 08:55 PM Marquee will only work in your signatures, HTML code is not allowed within the actual body of messages. You have to use the vB Code within messages.
