Does anyone know how Richard Denning felt when the decided to do I Love Lucy and didn't ask him to play the husband. After all he played the husband on the radio show.

I have heard nothing about Richard Denning's reaction per se. I understand Jell-O wanted to transfer "My Favorite Husband" to TV, but as most everyone knows, Lucy didn't want to do television unless Desi Arnaz was her co-star. I don't think you had to send Richard Denning any care packages, however...

He didn't even do MFH when it went to television. Barry Nelson played his role although I think he was starring in Mr. and Mrs. North at that time.
