which shows did you never watch before when they originally aired on TV, that years later through watching them on youtube, DVDs, cable channels you now love or enjoy?

there were sitcoms that were never shown before in the UK, but after seeing the episodes online and on youtube, i enjoy a lot.

for me these are:

There's a LOT of shows that I didn't watch when they originally aired but was later introduced to them thanks to DVDs and reruns. I wasn't born until 1982 so I won't list shows before that year...because it would be impossible for me to have originally watched a show that aired before I was born.

Just to name a few:

Mama's Family (my 2nd all-time favorite sitcom)
Designing Women
The Golden Girls
Cheers
Mr. Belvedere
Blossom
Friends
Mad About You
Major Dad
Saved by the Bell
The Torkelsons
Alias
Melrose Place
Night Court
Silk Stalkings
Wings
The King of Queens
Seinfeld

Great, another thread in which I will rant and rave about The Simpsons (and wishing its first-run tenure would be over) because, Seasons 1 to 4 of The Simpsons originally aired before I was born (in the fall of 1993).

Plus, a lot of good shows originally aired before I was born include Dallas and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Can a person be ashamed about a current show he wants to enjoy premiering before he was born?

I'd also add fame to my list. When the series aired in 1982, I was 1 years old. But when I was in my late 20s I watched the seasons and I have enjoyed the episodes.

First and foremost would be Frasier b/c for some reason I always hated Cheers so when Frasier came on I refused to watch it, thinking that it would be like Cheers. I really don't know why I didn't like Cheers at all. Maybe b/c it was so popular. But now I watch Cheers quite a bit and I'm a Frasier fanatic! Another show would be Caroline in the City, although I only like the first two seasons of that.

Perry Mason is a great show. I've seen 3.5 seasons' worth of it (1957-early 1961) from the DVD releases.

Everybody Loves Raymond. I ignored the show for its entire run, but started watching it when it aired on a local (Canada) channel at 6 in the morning.

I avoided for some reason "The Office" for several seasons. Why, cannot really say. It just looked lame. It seemed a show about a bunch of unhappy people at work, which seemed to be too close to real life. I did not know the show or the characters or anything. I just avoided it.

Then I decided for some reason to try it after it has been on for about three to four years and fell in love with it and followed the series weekly to the finale and I DID LIKE season 8 and 9. Then I watched the original "The Office" (UK) and liked that show. I am sorry that The Farm with Rainn Wilson wasnt given a shot, oh well. It has been off now, for what, two seasons and I miss it, but I do have the first 6 seasons of the show and the rest are easy enough to find online.
