This show, albeit funny and enjoyable, was meant to be very silly, even stupid, so that statement of Chrissy's fits the bill.

There was this one joke that Jack made about Elmo that was hilarious, but I can't remember it verbatim.

Chrissy said something about Elmo blowing his top, and Jack replied "Don't worry Chrissy, he doesn't have enough up there to cover the explosion"

I thought it was really funny how Elmo was only afraid of one person....CHRISSY!

Seriously though Furley even suggested earlier in the ep he could sleep on the floor. Why didn't he say "no I'll sleep on the floor" when Chrissy told him to sleep in the bathtub?

Because Chrissy was doing him a big favor....she was unexpectedly trapped there all night and agreed to help him save face. He felt like he was obligated to do whatever she asked.

Also, Furley wasn't used to having women in his bedroom, so he was easily bossed.
