I was watching a rerun of this show earlier.

The episode was "The In Laws," in which Vanessa's parents were first introduced.

Toward the beginning of the episode, Mark told Earvin that the assistant coach's job was available and asked if he would be interested in the job. It seemed that Earvin was hired.

Isn't that out-of-touch with reality in that Earvin would probably need some type of degree or, at least training. Also, wouldn't principal Geneva have some say so in the hiring?

Then, on the next episode, Earvin was working as a security guard.
