I remember when I was a kid and TBS showed Laverne & Shirley, they broadcast all the seasons. Recently on The Hub, they also showed the entire series. But I'm trying to think back to when Nick at Nite showed L&S. I don't recall ever seeing a "Just Laverne" episode (aka 'Season 8'). I'm wondering if anyone who watched it on Nick at Nite, remembers seeing any season 8 episodes on there. Because I don't.

I have been watching a few episodes from my S8 DVDs lately. Actually the worst of the bunch are the ones where they gave the spotlight to Frank and Carmine.

The season would not have been as bad if the episodes had all been like "The Playboy Show" or "The Monastery Show". While these episodes were NOWHERE near as good as the middle Shirley seasons, the show worked when Penny had a strong female guest actress to play off of, a la Carrie Fisher or Louise Lasser. It was the same on The Lucy Show when Viv left and they paired Lucy up with Ann Sothern, Joan Blondell, Carol Burnett, etc.
