no, he will not succeed. He is not a great actor, he had a great role, but unlike say Bryan Cranston or James Gandolfini, there is no room for him to grow.

He was all style, no substance. IMHO
Name value so he will get roles.

But where would he go?
In a way, he is the same as some female sex symbol 20 years later.
