20-25 mins away from Jack and the Girls? lol I mean since they were so close that means you expected to hear about them a lot more even after the show was cancelled. But if they had moved to another state then it would not be a question as to "what are the Ropers up to?"

Seeing as how Stanley was a cheapskate I doubt he wanted to live so far away where it was more expensive.

Maybe they could've moved to where Helen's mother lived and that way have the show centered around Stanley not getting along with her, but that sounds cliche.

I don't think it was nothing to be done to make the ropers more appealing. Even when they were on TC I coudn't wait to the scene shifted upstairs lol
