She's being hailed a hero across the country. Her name is Tara and she, most recently, became famous after she was caught on camera saving a 4-yr-old boy from a vicious dog attack. If you haven't seen the video, you can watch it here. This week, she took another leap into the spotlight when she threw out the first pitch at the Bakersfield Blaze baseball game.

Besides throwing out the first pitch, she ALSO joined Twitter. You can find her @TaraHeroCat. She's been sharing photos, videos, and it looks like she's even crowdsourcing animal hero stories. She tweeted, "Email your pet's Hero story to heros@taratheherocat.com.#HeroCat"
