Why “Manhattan Love Story” will be first to go, followed by “Bad Judge” then “Selfie."

I'm looking forward to The Flash and Gotham.
same here :woohoo:

there seems to be a whole lot of terrible in those new shows, I love Karen Gillan, but "Selfie" sounds like it is going to be a narcissistic train-wreck.

^^Thought of mine: You must not like any new TV shows, no matter how good they are.

Also, something tells me that NBC's Bad Judge and A to Z are gonna end up getting low ratings and cancelled at midseason, because of The Blacklist moving into the Thursdays @ 9:00 slot.

not true at all - I LOVE The Goldbergs, Sleepy Hollow, Rake, Elementary and Believe

I like Mom, The Millers, Super Fun Night, Trophy Wife, and a couple others.

I just think that the majority of the new shows that each network comes out with are just not that good and pander to the lowest common denominator.

You mean second season renewals or back 9 orders? I'll assume the latter, and I'd agree with you except State of Affairs isn't premiering until November so it seems unlikely to get the first back 9 on NBC. I'd go with Marry Me, since it has the post-Voice slot.

Cancellation:

ABC: Forever. It's in the slot that killed like six dramas this year, and I don't think SHIELD at 9 will change that.

CBS: I don't think The McCarthys is going to do anything, and they have Mike & Molly waiting in the wings, so...

FOX: Red Band Society. High concept and not a great timeslot. And there's no way they're giving up on Mulaney or Gotham that quickly.

NBC: The Mysteries of Laura looks awful and has a rough timeslot. Then again, NBC *loves* Debra Messing.

The CW: They only have two new shows so they could easily stick with both of them, but I really don't expect Jane the Virgin to do much of anything. (And I mean, it's called JANE THE VIRGIN).

Yeah NBC has pretty much thrown them to the wolves considering there's already a show confirmed to be getting their timeslot. I guess they could technically shift them to 8 if they do well but...I doubt it.

You mean second season renewals or back 9 orders? 2nd season renewals. Early full-season pickups often don't end up in a 2nd season.

My top candidates to fail first:

1. Selfie
2. Bad Judge
3. Cristela
4. Black-ish
5. Marry Me

Most likely to succeed:

1. The McCarthys
2. A to Z

3. The Odd Couple (midseason) - although I would rather see Matthew Perry play Felix instead of Oscar. After Friends ended, his characters have been mainly of the Felix types (buttoned-down, precise, by the book, and a little nerdy) rather than like Oscar (sloppy, messy, casual, rebellious---that was Joey! )

^Marry Me airs after The Voice, that is a guarantee for a 22-episode season at least. About A Boy survived only because of that.

The McCarthys airs at 9.30 pm where The Crazy Ones struggled at the end of its run, plus CBS has Mike & Molly + The Odd Couple at the bench to replace it.

But, I forgot about Madam Secretary at Sundays 8 pm, that might be the first one to go on CBS, smells like Made In Jersey to me!

Hard to predict the first renewal because networks do things differently based on if they want a full season, etc.

I think candidates for the first cancellations are the comedies in the Tues 8pm hour on ABC (Selfie/Manhattan Love Story) or the Thurs 9pm hour on NBC (Bad Judge/A to Z)
