Magnet Releasing, a genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, has picked up V/H/S: Viral, the third installment in the V/H/S anthology horror series.

The film features segments from directors Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes, Extraterrestrial), Marcel Sarmiento (ABCs of Death segment D is for Dogfight), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead), Justin Benson (Wrecked) and Todd Lincoln (The Apparition).

V/H/S: Viral's segments include the story of a deranged illusionist who obtains a magical object of great power, a homemade machine that opens a door to a parallel world, teenage skaters that unwillingly become targets of a Mexican death cult ritual, and a sinister, shadowy organization that is tracking a serial killer.

The segments are tied together by the story of a group of fame-obsessed teens following a violent car chase in LA that unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.

Magnet is eyeing a fall release.

I gotta say JAMES,this company is the ONLY ONE that replied to my email about how they transferred this movie to VHS!!!

I had emailed them and asked them if they used the analogue master for the VHS tape (If it was originally done in analog which I guess it wasnt)

They replied back a couple weeks ago and said "Unfortunetly we did not release this movie in analog" which means the digital master is on the tape..... (They told me about part 3 then)

I am amazed they replied to me!!!!!!!!! -- Most people have been so compromised/re-programmed they cant understand an email like mine!! (The one I sent to magnolia)

Hopefully part 3 will be better than part 2. Except for the segment about the cult I thought VHS 2 was a huge letdown.

The first one is excellent, and managed to creep me out which is rare in horror movies nowadays.
