I'm writing a research paper on Good Times, but I don't have time to watch the whole thing. I skipped from season 2 episode 5 (the man I most admire) to season 3 episode 22 (Florida the Woman). In the latter episode, Florida has a job. When does she get this job, or first get a job on the show? Also, if you could list all the jobs she has over the course of the show, that'd be really helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for your help and advice. I've spent 8 hours a day for the past three days researching this paper, and I will continue to work on it until it's due tomorrow. I have watched many episodes, and read a lot online, but can't find any mention of when Florida gets the job she mentions in season 3 episode 22. I was just wondering if anyone who already knows the answer could help me out, so I can dedicate my limited remaining time to working on the rest of the paper, as well as to studying for my other final exams.

Have a good day:)

I'm not sure how much time you have left, but I'm certain that if you read into the archives here, almost any Good Times question you have will be answered... at length.

One question of hot debate as far as Florida's job history is whether or not she worked for Maude Findley in New York as a housekeeper before moving to Chicago, or was that apocryphal, a part of some "alternate universe"?

Yes, the topic of Florida and her jobs is a hot one, and worthy of a paper in its own right.

Hope this helps!

From seasons 2 - 4, you really don't see or hear when she gets the job; you just know she has a job, because she comes home in a bad mood (Florida Goes To School, Florida The Woman, The Hustle, Thelma's African Romance - Part 2). I think she worked at a department store.

In the sixth season, she got a job as a bus driver.
