The reality competition show will enter its 14th season on Jan. 7, but what was once Fox’s biggest success story has recently taken some hits from which it will be hard to bounce back.

You know if Clay Aiken won Season 2 and Kimberley Locke was season 2's runner-up, then this show would not die down too quick.

Ruben winning season 2 was let down on both this show and the entire FOX network.

I think Ruben wanted money, not only desperately, in a greedy way!

irehtman, just get over it already! Seriously.

Yes I think singing/music competitions are on the way out. For better or worse the novelty has worn off.

But I partly blame the networks for putting on so many of them. People have gotten tired of it.
