For The Record: "The Michael J. Fox Show" is Officially Cancelled

Not that there had been any doubt, but "The Michael J. Fox Show" has been cancelled. When the series was taken off the schedule at the beginning of February, the move was described not as an official cancellation but as pulling the show off the schedule with the remaining 7 episodes to air at a later date.

That is still TBD.

"The Michael J. Fox Show", which completed filming its 22-episode order in December, never got traction and logged those dismal 0.7 and 0.6 18-49 ratings before it was benched indefinitely.

Fox has since returned to CBS‘ "The Good Wife", reprising his recurring role.

He never should have went to NBC. Who cares if they gave him a 22 episode commitment. they haven't even aired them all.

Fox made the crack about his failed NBC sitcom this morning on “The View.”

lol

I'm glad he's back on The Good Wife. He should have went to CBS to begin with although single camera sitcoms don't have a great track record on CBS. Maybe he could have filmed it like HIMYM does.

Maybe MJF and NBC figured that since he started his TV career there w/ Family Ties, it would be a case of coming "full circle" (since MJF's last sitcom, Spin City aired on ABC).
