This was the premise of "Moonlighting Becomes You" and it was supposed to have come from living with Max...but didn't she sometimes make the kind of mistakes Max did without getting called on it:
1) Casablanca - thinking Max was the Choker - yet the Chief thought she did a great job
2) Kisses for Kaos - she gets herself and Max out of immediate danger and disarms Savage and Mondo, but she traps herself and Max in the room as well...although it's not as bad as the situation they were in a moment before, with Max in the chair and the KAOS men holding guns on them...especially since with Max's shoe phone, Max and 99 have the means to get everybody out
3) Ship of Spies - after hauling Max out of the water by herself, she blows it by shooting the door off
4) Witness for the Persecution - she has this great plan to hide Max (I love that she seems to be in charge of CONTROL in that episode!) but she didn't catch that the phone was off the hook.
5) Farkas Fracas, of course, with the sneaking up behind joke
6) The Day They Raided the Knights - I love the whole premise of the Chief deciding CONTROL can't function without 99, budget cuts or no...and she does do some kind of awesome things in that episode...but I thought the place where she stood while calling the Chief was kind of dumb...it seemed like it was obvious that Sonia was going to be able to see her there.
