that would be so great if they got it because it more so should go to them then to any lucy fan even though i wish i could have it, it is where there mother grew up... and also i would be devastated if some body bought it just for the lot and tore it down that truely would be sad (not saying any one is going to just my thoughts)

I don't think Lucie and Desi won it. Check out the tv guide that has a bunch of classic stars on it- the one that has Archie, Edith, Elvis, the Honeymooners- etc. They have an article about it. I just scanned over it, but a bid was placed that beat L & D's bid. I'll post the article.

Because the Celoron, New York, three bedroom was the childhood home of Lucille Ball. After nearly six weeks of bidding, the house at 59 West Lucy Lane was sold to a Florida woman seeking a summer place near her native Buffalo. She outbid the late star's children, Lucie and Desi Arnaz. "Lucie's first offer was very low," says Turner. While the siblings expressed interest, they never upped the ante, he says. (They have no comment.) The buyer-an I Love Lucy fan wishes to remain anonymous. But that may not be so easy. The sellers, who bought the house 75 years ago (when Ball's grandparents lost the house), were exasperated by fans who rang the bell and invited themselves in for a tour. Turner won't confirm if the list price ($98,500) was met. And there's no word on whether Fred and Ethel will buy the house next door.

RATS! I bet they would have done like a Lucy museum.

It would be neat if the owner held on to it, but turned it into like a Graceland. They could call it Lucyland or something. Get cool stuff and you have a museum dedicated to Lucy. I dunno...that is only one of the things they could do.
