This is only my 30-something post but I've certainly read hundreds of other folks' posts. Hi everyone and thanks for providing some great reading over the years :)

I was watching something on TV and the man said he was a Kansas City Missouri firefighter. Though he did not say it was because of the arson fire that killed some of his colleagues that inspired his line of work, it got me curious.

Maybe there's someone out there who became inspired to become a cop because he/she saw the injustice in the world through cases like the Boys on the Tracks which was profiled on UM. Or became more sensitive to those who suffer from autism after viewing the story about Gordon Page, Jr. and chose to work with people like Gordie.

I'm in the process of writing/editing two books based on UM cases. That said, I don't know if they'll ever see the light of day outside my computer, but it has given me something to work on when I have nothing else to do. I had known I wanted to be a journalist/writer long before UM ever debuted, but UM has certainly provided enough material to get my creative wheels spinning even more than they usually are.

Anyone?
