Ok, which newshow or shows in the 2013-2014 season that were cancelled that you really liked or loved?

For this year, it is "Dads". Dads to me was hilarious. I looked forward to watching it every week. I do not know what the critics deal was against this program, again, I found it great, and loved all the actors in it. I have fallen down laughed at a few situations. To me, this was one of the best sitcoms on. Oh well.

Last year, it was Animal Practice on NBC. That show wasn't given a chance either. In 2010-2011 it was The Good guys on Fox.

So what shows you really enjoyed that was a one and done?

Even though it's not official yet I'm going with Trophy Wife. I think it's a well written and funny show. I also enjoyed Dads.

Hostages and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland from this year. My all-time favorite one season sitcom is Dag from 2000, I wish it would be released on DVD. :(

My all time one season show would be Square Pegs, one of the most famous one season shows ever. This year it would be Trophy Wife, which was cute (though unrealistic on so many levels). Reminds me of the ABC 2003-2004 season where I watched three shows that only lasted a year: I'm With Her, Married To The Kellys and It's All Relative.

Most WB comedies, such as Maybe It's Me, Do Over, Greetings From Tucson, Run Of The House. Now the WB is officially shutdown for the rest of its life.

I usually do not get invested in TV shows during their first season for fear of them being cancelled. Just my opinion.

Let me add Growing Up Fisher to the list, which was a good fit for About A Boy.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who really enjoyed Dads! It had some bad episodes, but there were also some very funny ones. It's a shame FOX stuck with unfunny Brooklyn Nine Nine over Dads. Oh well, FOX can keep its crappy ratings next season.

Malibu Country is my most recent favorite one-season wonder.

Others from the past:
Firefly
The Gates
All-American Girl
The Help
Thea
Life on a Stick

I'm know there are others, I just can't think right now.

I really enjoyed Enlisted this year and I'm sad to see it go. I hope it will be put out on DVD with the last few episodes that didn't air.

James, I agree about not watching the first season as it might get cancelled. Seems to be happening more lately.

For my show, I liked Privileged. It was a show that had Lucy Hale and Joanna Garcia. It aired on the CW.

Happy Town and Alcatraz are my favorite one season wonders. There's not nearly enough Sam Neill on TV. Yeah, Peaky Blinders but that's not a US show.

Adding another show from this season: Friends with Better Lives.

The show is laugh out loud funny and has yet to disappoint. The cast has really good chemistry too! I wish CBS would have given it a bit more time to develop.

Deadline notes its being shopped around to other networks, but I'm not holding my breath.

The Crazy Ones

I can't believe it got cancelled! It was very funny, it had a great cast, and was much better than most of the crap that will debut this season. A big mistake by CBS, in my opinion!

A big mistake by CBS, in my opinion! The Crazy Ones ended up being the lowest rated of the CBS comedies. It premiered with over a 4.0 but at the end couldn't even hit a 1.5. That's a large chunk of the audience leaving.

Cliffhangers 1979 An homage to the Serials that played in movie theaters until the 1950s. NBC had the audacity to cancel this show and NOT play the final episode. :angryfire. It took me thirty years, but I FINALLY got to see this "Lost" episode, thanks to our little friends over at ioffer. :D

From before my time: T.H.E. Cat

While growing up: Police Squad! (though the creators had the last laugh, rebooting the show as the successful series of 'Naked Gun' movies)

In recent years: Terriers

Married To The Kellys. I haven't watched a current sitcom since its premature cancellation ten years ago.

Not. One.

I really enjoyed "Bent", the 6-episodes-and-done show from a few years ago about a team of builders and the uptight woman they work for. It just had a really nice atmosphere, and a hell of a strong cast, but it was burned off in the summer and that was that.

I admit that I actually did get invested in a single-season TV show last season: The Michael J. Fox Show on NBC. A reason I tuned in was because I actually wanted to handle how Michael J. Fox could handle being in a weekly TV series in any capacity after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Personally, I thought he should have handled it very well. The MJF Show premiered well by then-current NBC sitcom standards, but the ratings and viewership started falling and got so low that I quit watching the show after the 11th episode, and reviews for the show weren't very positive, either. The MJF Show ended up getting pulled from the schedule after the 15th episode, and eventually, it was officially cancelled in May of 2014.

Embarrassed to say this.

But, Twenty Good Years was hilarious IMO. Loved Jeffery Tambor and John Lithgow together. Ticked me off when they cancelled it.

Friends With Better Lives, it wasn't ground breaking and way too vulgar to the point where it got trashy but I was forming a crush on Zoe Lister-Jones.

I was gutted when The Hundred Lives of Blackjack Savage disappeared from my television set. GUTTED, I tell you!

There was also a short-lived sitcom called The Good Live starring Drew Carey as a secondary character that I was really into for some reason.

Happy Town was all fun and quirky and mysterious. Then it was gone.

Was Drexel's Class one season or two?

It doesn't really count because it was a two season show, but no show cancellation ever pissed me off as much as ExoSquad getting whacked after their 2nd season. And to make matters worse, it was replaced by some abomination called Bananas In Pajamas. The horror!
