Neil Patrick Harris Strips Down for Rolling Stone Cover

by Sadie Gennis

Neil Patrick Harris worked hard to get in shape for Broadway's "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and now the actor's showing it off on the cover of the latest Rolling Stone.

The former "How I Met Your Mother" star wears nothing but a bow tie and strategically placed top hat for the issue that hits stands Friday, and his fiancé couldn't be prouder.

"He's so skinny, and I think that really gives him power," David Burtka said. "His body is crazy right now."

But while Harris is now happily engaged with two kids, the actor revealed it wasn't easy coming out to his family.

"It was three conversations," Harris' brother Brian said. "First he goes, 'I just don't think I'm going to date, really, for a while.' And he had some bad luck with the girls he dated early on. Probably because he was gay! And then we had a different conversation about how he likes girls, but he kind of likes guys too. And we had another conversation after that: He likes guys."

Nope, Neil looks good for his age. I haven't bought Rolling Stone in years, but just may pick up a copy now.

Looks have nothing to do with it. RS is music oriented which is why he has no business on the cover, same as Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Her issue went straight to the trash can when it arrived and when this one with NPH gets here it's headed for the same place.

Wrong. According to wiki, Rolling Stone focuses on politics and popular culture. It literally says that in the first sentence on the wiki article.

wait, I've seen two issues of Rolling Stone at a local store this week and neither of them featured this cover. Does anyone know what's going on and when this issue hits the stands?

Also, apparently Neil turned down the Late, Late show.

He does look good but I'm kind of surprised they would run a cover that racy (even if it is Rolling Stone). For some reason I though that NPH was already married and had gotten married a long time ago.
