Does anyone scan photos, documents into computers? I have about 500 photos of my town. The local bank would use them in their calendars. For the past 35 years I have put them in a photo album type notebook. Now I thought to scan them. MY question is what is the best quality. 300, 600. I did about scan about 100 photos at 300 but some came out dark. I did touch them up but that made them look worse. Any thoughts?? I don;t want to spend forever fussing but would like them to look fairly good.
