Just wondering how well it did. JR1 05-16-2014, 09:48 PM It didn't fare all that well, from what I remember. Frenky 05-20-2014, 07:12 AM 12.5 million viewers, 72nd place, it aired on Saturday night. Anyone have idea why Alf fell so much in ratings during original run on NBC, in S2 it was TOP10 show, then TOP20 and 39th place in final season? MacLeaper 05-20-2014, 12:33 PM I rated it as awesome because it's a great TV-movie wrap-up for the ALF sitcom. Love it!:) But yeah- keep in mind that it was airing on ABC instead of NBC- I don't know if that made any big difference. And it was a weekend TV-movie- I remember watching it when it first aired and taping it so I could watch it later too. I don't think I have the tape anymore though...but I've got it on DVD now when it was officially released a few years back. Will and Grace Fanatic 05-22-2014, 09:19 PM I just watched it last night...I thought it was really good despite the fact that the other characters from the tv show were not on it. I'm sure the change of network didn't help the ratings. vampirevsrobot 08-24-2014, 05:18 AM 12.5 million viewers, 72nd place, it aired on Saturday night. But I always wondered this as well. My only guess is because "The Simpson's" came along and Bart (specifically because Bart was the forefront character at that time) sorta made ALF irrelevant, especially to kids. "You still watch ALF"??? might have been locker talk back in the day at this point. ALF always had an edge to him, but it kinda got lost. That's just a guess, it could also be "Major DAD" on CBS too. I don't know, but it's sad. It should have been renewed for another season and shifted to Friday's to at least compete with ABC. |
