I was changing the channel the other night and came across a new show called One Love on Bounce TV. Imagine my surprise when I see Sherman Hemsley playing the grandfather on this show.
Why would they bother airing a show about a year and a half after the man died? It's not like they can make more episodes with him now gone.

If I understand your question correctly, if we didn't air shows because a member of the cast had died, that would mean we wouldn't be watching any classic shows on TV.

I am pretty sure that is not what BWF meant. I am pretty sure he meant that it is meaningless for them to air that show because it won't be picked up for a new season because one of the main characters in gone.
I don't think BWF meant that shows with deceased actors should not air.
