I was Googling some FOL stuff and had a good laugh when I saw that someone edited together a video solely comprised of Molly Parker's Eastland dormitory "concert performances".
What FOL fans won't do! ;)
Some people love her, some are annoyed by her, but when I was a kid I always thought it was so neat and different how she played and sang a couple of times on the show. :)

Gah! I had to click! Don't ask me why, but I did. Couldn't they have at least tuned that guitar before taping? There's even a scene of her asking Mrs. G to tune it for her!
Molly Ringwald was so talented. Just not musically, at that age. I have heard, however, that she recorded a Jazz album at age 4.

Oh yeah, there is! It doesn't bother me though, because she barely plays it, just strums a few chords. And growing up I had many visits with an antique out-of-tune piano at my great-great aunt's house, so I kind of built up an immunity to slight out-of-tune-ness, lol.

Well, she can sing like the average kid; she can carry a tune and she stays pretty much in key, certainly enough for us to recognize a melody, lol. Funnily enough she does a better job on the first song (even getting those wonky minor notes near the end), which she performed when she was a tad younger than when she did the second one. Maybe at that age she wasn't "the next Brenda Lee", but at least she wasn't nails on a chalkboard, lol.

'Nails on a chalkboard' describes it best for me.

That's interesting...I come from a musical background myself, but I just think she's cute, lol :)

I have decided to name these two biggest hits of Molly Parker's catalogue of songs "Stop Junking Up America", and "The Broken Family Blues", lol.
