Exclusive: "The Mindy Project" Losing a Series Regular Ahead of Season 3
by Michael Ausiello
4/30/14
Shulman & Associates is downsizing.
TVLine has learned exclusively that original "Mindy Project" castmember Zoe Jarman, who plays naive, confidence-challenged receptionist Betsy Putch on the Fox comedy, will not be returning as a series regular in Season 3.
A show spokesperson confirmed the news, but noted that Jarman “has been asked to guest star, so it’s possible that fans will see her next season.”

I hope she is reduced as a guest next season because her talent, both inside and outside, is strongly attractive as a romantic comedy actress. I would rather route more on her rather than both Beth Grant and her Beverly character.
But it looks like the FOX Network is under a bad recession this season and the "Focus on More Mindy's Men" may have gone TOO FAST and it will not slow down. Please do not get me wrong, IMO!

Let's see what Betsy has to say tonight.
But substituting Betsy, I really want to continue insisting on adding a cranky old man doctor character for these reasons:
1.) Make Beverly feel more relieved and along the way, both cranky old people can reduce their crankiness down at the same time.
2.) This cranky old man doctor character can help get bigger appraisal on more criticism and ratings from both all men and all older people TV critics, in order for this show to continue.

It's like a slasher film up in here!

FOX is having a general financial network collapse situation recently and the cause was these two events occuring in February 2014:
FOX airing Super Bowl 48 and NBC airing sochi Winter Olympics 2014.
So this situation has made force changes by appraising more focus on both all men and all older people, rather than on both all women and all younger people.
Betsy is not going to get axed yet and she will be reduced as guest. Gwen and Shauna are not officially axed at all and they will return to this show as guests. The actress who plays Gwen is not going to appear in more bigger project and also not going to appear in the next Pitch Perfect movie. The actress who plays Shauna is leaving her cancelled "The Crazy Ones" show right now.
The character that is going to get added into this show's main cast as permanent to substitute Betsy, Gwen and Shauna is that cranky old man doctor, which should help reciees more good appraisal on survival.
Then an erratic young woman nurse character will appear as a guest in this show. By the second half of next season, Betsy, Gwen and Shauna will return as part of the main cast as permanents once and for all and that erratic young woman nurse character will be the final addition to this show's main cast as permanent. Nothing added afterwards.
This show is not the only one having problems right now, Glee has its own different problems at the same time. But by next season, everything in both of these shows will be back to normal from where they left off in relief, IMO.

We hope that fired FOX member Kevin O'Reilly should help fix both this show and Glee!

What I have found out that actress Zoe Jarman, who plays Betsy Putch, is a romantic comedy actress in this show. She gained more interaction with a little more than one line in the second season. Zoe is funny also, but I think they may have mispaid her in the wrong amount along the way, unlike the other members of the main cast.
Since this show is improving better, we may insist of bringing both her and guest actress Allison Tolman, who plays Abby, back into this shows reduced and recurring guests as much as possible.
