Who Was Named People's "Most Beautiful" Star?

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o was named "Most Beautiful" by People, landing the coveted cover of the annual issue.

"It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," the 12 Years a Slave star said. "I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen."





Nyong'o, 31, was born in Mexico and raised in Kenya, where she associated beauty with what she saw on TV. "Light skin and long, flowing, straight hair," she said. "Subconsciously you start to appreciate those things more than what you possess."

The actress' mother Dorothy "always said I was beautiful," Nyong'o added. "And I finally believed her at some point."





Nyong'o, who recently landed a contract with Lancome Paris, isn't afraid to experiment with her look. As a teenager, she dyed her hair every color (except blonde) and even shaved her head all together.

"It was very strange and very cold! She said. "It was scary but I like to dare myself."

What a joke because she's ugly and her hairstyle is ugly hahahahahahahaha. I didn't see anything special about her acting in 12 Years A Slave and i don't see how she won a oscar for that. Chiwetel Ejiofor should've won a oscar. Gimme Paula Patton, Brooklyn Decker, Charlize Theron, Amber Heard, Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johannson, Jenna Tatum(Channing Tatum's wife), Zulay Henao(Channing Tatum's woman in Fighting movie), Elisha Cuthbert, Beyonce, Rihanna, Gabrielle Union, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Melyssa Ford, Halle Berry over her. People magazine is a joke.

I think she's beautiful. She has gorgeous skin and teeth, big beautiful eyes, and she has a great sense of fashion.

I think she's beautiful too. She's also has a great attitude which makes here more appealing. But I've always liked the unconventionally attractive people. I'm still waiting for Tommy Lee Jones to make the list.

She looks beautiful with short hair, which is alright.
