You’ve got to hand it to "Girl Meets World" – even the Disney Channel sitcom’s logo manages to serve as a throwback to its ’90s predecessor.

TVLine has an exclusive first look at the official logo for 2014′s highly anticipated "Boy Meets World" sequel series — featuring grown-up Cory and Topanga as the parents of Riley and Auggie Matthews – and it turned out pretty much exactly as we’d hoped.

The typography, the globe… it’s all there.

Definitely feeling the TGIF in there.

It looks kinds hokey Hanna Montanna-ish.

Nice! The logo looks great- very similar to the logo used for "Boy Meets World"- and with any spinoff show, it's always important to emphasize its connection to the original series, in order to help bring in fans of the original show to watch the new one. (Hardcore fans are probably going to be there regardless, so this kind of thing isn't necessary for them. However, it does help for those who are just casual fans of the original show- ones perhaps who liked it at that time but have long since forgotten about it- things like this help spark nostalgia with those viewers and make them remember some good memories with the original show- and hopefully getting excited as a fan of the new show.)
