I always watch my DVR'ed Leave it to Beaver shows when putting my laundry away. Yesterday I watched Beaver's Parrot. June was singing in the kitchen as Wally came in. She had a nice voice. Reminded me of the episode when June was lying on the couch reading a mag and Wally came home. Same conversation....Gee I didn't know Mom's could....

I love the show

Yes she did have a nice voice...I'll never smile again.....How about when Wally came home and June was in the living room listening to a record on the Hi Fi of an opera. She told Wally she went to a fight at Madison Square Garden. He couldn't believe it. "Wally I wasn't always a mother."

I couldn't remember the song, even though I just watched it, glad you did. And I remember June listening to the Hi-Fi episode. Thanks

I like that episode when June and Ward see Frances Hobbs in the drug store saying how she has Wally wrapped around her little finger. Ward is about to talk to Wally in the den and June hugs him like he's about to go off to war. Very silly but funny.

There really are many touching scenes in the show. At the end of Beaver's Parrot Beaver is sitting next to Ward on the couch and they are both very happy. Lots of folk put down the whole era...fools all
