View Full Version : golden age of movie's auburntiger 04-21-2014, 09:14 AM ? Zoneboy 04-21-2014, 10:24 AM I would consider films that are at least 50 years old to be golden age which currently eliminates anything released after 1964. Vahan 04-21-2014, 10:57 AM July 13, 1923-December 31, 1959 is what I would consider the Golden Age. But here's the shocker: The Golden era is NOT my favorite era of Hollywood. For me, my favorite era of Hollywood is from the 1960's to around the late 1990's. Most of my favorite movies were made during that period. Dude111 05-12-2014, 07:41 PM Yup I feel the same Vahan! I like a few movies before the 60s 1) Journey to the center of the earth - 1959 2) Its a wonderfull life - 1946 3) Miracle on 34th Street - 1947 MrCleveland 05-12-2014, 10:42 PM Though there's some great films today...the 40's couldn't be beat! There was "Citizen Kane", "Casablanca", "It's a Wonderful Life", "Walter Mitty", and "Three Caballeros" to name a few...those films had some good effects for their decade. Without those films, movies would be stagnant. isiahthomas 05-17-2014, 10:30 AM The 80's was a good decade for movies especially action movies and comedy movies. The 90's was also a good decade for movies. comedyfreak 05-18-2014, 04:57 AM I like movies from the 40's. |
