View Full Version : Your top 5 favorite shows of ALL TIME
Wow, it's almost been an entire month since anyone has posted to this board. :(
Hey, I was thinking how I've only seen bits and pieces of Cheers, but own two copies of Frasier on DVD. Then I was wondering what your favorite series are.
Mine?
#1) Of course, the best spin off in TV history: FRASIER
#2) Burn Notice
#3) Big Bang Theory
#4) Scandal
#5) Chuck / Boy Meets World (kind of tie)
My old school favorites would have to be
Happy Days
Gilligan's Island
The Munsters
BJ & The Bear
Batman
Starsky & Hutch
The Incredible Hulk
Derailed Favorites (ones that quickly fell off my list by just loosing its luster, the main character leaving the show, or an awful finale)
The Office
How I Met Your Mother
bingbangbaby 04-19-2014, 05:16 PM I'm a big fan of classic TV, and for about the past 25 years, I've worked evenings so I haven't seen much primetime tv except in reruns over that time. So my lists are going to seem rather "classic" even though I'm not really that old. :D
Favorite sitcoms, no particular order:
1. Bewitched
2. Who's the Boss?
3. Frasier
4. I Love Lucy
5. Laverne and Shirley
And some newer ones that I think I might like:
1. Growing up Fisher
2. Surviving Jack
(but I just saw only a couple of episodes of each of these, so we'll see)
3. Brooklyn 99 -I've seen several episodes of this one and I've laughed out loud at all of them. I think this one is a keeper. :)
Other favorites, non-sitcoms:
1. Ghost Hunters
2. Drop Dead Diva
3. Celebrity Ghost Stories/The Haunting Of...
4. Army Wives
5. Amazing Race
6. Parenthood
7. Anything having to do with crime or investigative reporting like Dateline, Snapped, 48 Hours Mystery, Unsolved Mysteries, Disappeared, etc (there's a ton of those shows and I like most of them).
8. And some of the PBS series' like Call the Midwife, The Bletchley Circle, Mr Selfridge-- (although I never did get into Downton Abbey)

Cool! Very familiar with your top 5.
Leigh Ann 04-20-2014, 11:07 AM As far as oldie-type shows, I like (no order):
The Andy Griffith Show
The Dick Van Dyke Show
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
I Love Lucy
The Waltons
And of course, Frasier...:D Oh, and I forgot Boy Meets World, and Wings too. :)
But for new shows the only ones I watch are Once Upon a Time (the BEST!!), Hot in Cleveland, and I've been watching Little Couple each week this season. They are adorable. :D
I guess my favorite show right now is Once Upon a Time...So good! :D
gutsy 04-26-2014, 02:18 PM 1 Three's Company
2 Big Bang Theory
3 Frasier
4 Family Ties
5 Growing Pains
principehomura 04-27-2014, 02:30 PM I'm just talking about the sitcoms...
1) Frasier - Roseanne (tie!)
3) Family Ties
4) Seinfeld
5) Friends
You can clearly see that I grew up in the 90's :p
wise3 04-27-2014, 04:09 PM hmmm.....
The Gray Ghost (1957)
Maverick
The Rockford Files
Magnum PI
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Tomorrow, in a different mood, I'm sure this list would change.
For one thing, The Big Bang Theory would probably displace something....
