I noticed the my last thread on this page has sixty-one views and zero replies. I would like to write about a topic pertaining to the number sixty-one that I have already written about on two other pages. The topic that I am referring to is a "Woody Woodpecker" carton that came out in 1961. Is anyone here a fan of "Woody Woodpecker"? I think he is great! His character was first created in 1940. However, by the time that this particular cartoon came out, he was already quite a bit more refined in both appearance and mannerism. Political correctness had already taken its toll! The title of this cartoon is "The Bird Who Came to Dinner". Just in case anyone is interested, it is up on You Tube. On the "Gimme a Break!" page, I started a thread giving it the same name as the cartoon. The way that I tied the reality of the cartoon into that show is that Kari Michaelsen who played Katie on that show was born that year. Just in came some of you do not know, before Kari Michaelsen was picked for the part, this show's Helen Hunt was considered. In any event, after posting that thread, I went over to "Caroline in the City" and posted "Dinner with the Bird". I tied the cartoon into the reality of that show by writing about how Lea Thompson was also born that year. And yet another lovely, little lady who was born that year is Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Just thinking about all of these adorable babes really makes me drool!
