I just read that the Cosby show has boosted N@N's ratings by 64% since the start of its marathon.

Don't expect many 80's shows to come to Nick at Nite. I don't see any other coming any time soon. Roseanne comes in 2003. After that, perhaps Who's the Boss? may come but I think Nick will start moving more towards 90's shows.

Shows that most likely will be left out:

Growing Pains (maybe)
One Day at a Time
Good Times
227
ALF
Silver Spoons
The Golden Girls (It will be on Lifetime forever)
Charles in Charge
Small Wonder
Out of This World
It's a Living
Night Court
Amen
The Hogan Family
Kate & Allie
Gimme a Break!
Webster
Mr. Belvedere
Perfect Strangers
Head of the Class

That would be a shame. Nick has hit an all time low.

I hope Diff'rent Strokes comes back to N@N, but we'll see. Phasing out 80's shows in general is not as preordained as you all are saying in my opnion. Reruns have been and will forever be popular. Some more so than others, but shows from the 50's 60's 70's 80's have been around this long. I don't see what's different about todays kids or any other slice of society that would cause that to change.

Really?!? I love The Cosby Show and enjoy watching it, it's one of the best sitcoms that came out of the 80's but, hasn't everybody already seen every episode of that show? I know I have. And those who watch it on N@N, have they ever heard of TBS or WGN? The Cosby Show is already in syndication in many networks and local stations. It's a shame N@N can't even give DS, FOL, etc., at least a tiny time slot in their schedule, but can air hours of Cheers. That's not fair.

I just can't understand why The Cosby Show is so loved. I like it and think it's quite funny but I think the humoar is a bit basic.
A line that would get a small laugh on DS or FOL would get an applause in Cosby. I could be wrong- I have only seen around 5 or 6 eps.

For me, Cosby is not a bad show, but DS is much more to my liking. I must admit that sometimes I get a bit bored with Cosby because it's almost like watching Sesame Street, at times. I also admit that I like "A Different World" a bit better.

JethroSimpson....I see what you mean.

Curtis, I also agree with what you said about DS & FOL getting unfair treatment by N@N, considering that their ratings were pretty decent.
