Do you have Easter plans?

I'm not sure yet what the plans are.

Just having dinner with my parents and going to church.

Here's my Schedule.

Maundy Thursday - Service at Westminister By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church in Port Orange, Florida.

Good Friday - Attend Passion Play at First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Florida

Saturday - Volunteer Easter Egg Hunt at Port Orange City Center (Put on by First Baptist of Daytona). Afterwards I will have a Pre-Easter Supper at a Friend,s house.

Sunday - Attend Sunrise Service (Also put on by First Baptist Church of Florida. Then the Early Mass at St. Paul's Basilica in Daytona Beach. Afterwards I will attend the Celebrate Jesus Service at First Baptist of Daytona. Then I will have Easter Supper at a Neighbor's House

I don't have any plans.

I'm just going to enjoy the day.

And so am I. Yes, I'll be attending several services, including one of a different faith (Its interesting to see how people of a different faith celebrate certain holiday (Such as Easter and Christmas). I've even learned something I didn't know about.:angel:

I'd like to get out to a Maundy Thursday service somewhere today if I can and then I'll probably go to a Good Friday service once I find a church holding one. And then I'll be at church Sunday morning as I would anyway with family and enjoy lunch with them afterwards.:) :cool:
But of course, while I specifically focus in on celebrating the salvation Jesus Christ obtained for us all through His death, burial and Resurrection at Easter- I celebrate Him all year long.:) :cool: Thank You, Lord for Your Love.

Just kickin' back and relaxing at home. I'm thinking of trying to cook a ham in my new crock pot. I just need a good recipe. Something with honey and sweet potatoes would be nice.

Working friday night, saturday night and the lunch shift sunday.

Finally found out what I'm doing for Easter. I'm going to my mother's. We will have ham.

they sure do show lots of commercials on Easter it almost like Christmas they wont you to buy movies shoes cloths toys candy or yes even cars don't forget the true meaning of Easter when Jesus rose form the grave on that Sunday.

Easter is beginning to wind down. I did everything I mentioned I was going to do. Easter 2014 will go down as being the year I had the FUNNIEST Easter Church Service ever. :lol: In between my Church (First Baptist Church) Sunrise and Easter Services I went down the Street from my Church to St. Paul's Basilica to see how the Roman Catholic people celebrate Easter (Two Christmas's ago I attended their Midnight Mass to see how they observe Christmas). About five minutes before the service a family came in and sat in the pew in front of me. Like me it was obvious they were visitors as well. One of their kids, a boy about 9-10 years old pulled out the kneeling bar and said "Hey Mom, Check this out, this Church has footrests in their pews! I had to plug my nose and cover my mouth about 3-4 minutes, otherwise the entire congregation would know I was in there, as I would have broken into a HOWLING Laugh! :lol: :rofl::rotflmao: :brent

BTW their Easter Mass was rather uplifting, they had the children lead the songs and prayers. This is what makes church-hopping fun and educational. You get to see how other churches observe certain events, and you get to learn a thing or two.:D

PS If the pope were to come to Daytona and deliver the invocation during the Daytona 500 or the Coke-Zero 400 I shudder to see what might happen. I can see people line the streets in order to see the "Popemobile", and camp out in front of the Church to ensure they have a seat in the church to see him hold mass. In Comparison The National Day of Insanity (That's "Black Friday" for those of you in Rio Linda!) would be trivial!

This event will FOREVER (Well, at least while I'm Alive) be labeled the "Check this out" Incident of 2014. :crazy:

The old Champ was the "Climb the wall Incident of 1984 (During the Sermon the minister told a story about a boy who when hearing his Grandmother is going to visit them asks his mom how long will Grandmother stay. When his Mom says she will be here for about a week the boy replies - "Oh Good! I'll get Dad do his little trick". When his mother what that meant he replied "Dad said if Gramdma stayed for longer than two days he'd climb the wall!). :happyface

Before that the previous champ was the Daylight Saving's Time fiasco of 1972. Easter was held on April 2 this year. I was in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with my sister and parents. We got up and went to Pigeon Forge. where we had a Pancake Breakfast. :eatarrow: We then went to Sevierville and arrive at the Sevierville United Methodist Church just in time to see the Minister give the Benediction! :doh: We had totally forgot about Daylight Saving Time.

I have a challenge for all of you across the fruited plain. Do you have any humorous events happen to you at Church> I'm sure all of you have had something like this occur in your life. :D

When we were young my sister and I were sitting in a pew and during the sermon my sister looked down and saw a wasp crawling up her leg. Well, instinctively she kicked her leg and her shoe flew off to a few pews ahead! :lol: Another time my mom forgot to turn off her cell phone and during the service phone loudly rang. That wasn't so bad except her ring was The Mexican Hat Dance! She was so embarrassed!:lol:
