I saw a thread about time capsules on here and at first I thought the thread was wanting examples of TV shows that had a time capsule as part of the plot. That thread actually was for something different, but I thought it might be fun to do such a thread in any case.
So here are a few examples I can think of right now:

On an episode of Full House, Danny and Joey dug up a time capsule they had buried as kids and then later reburied it with an item added by Jesse to seal their pact as friends. (I believe this was the "Pal Joey" episode.)

On Encyclopedia Brown, in "The Case of the Missing Time Capsule", Encyclopedia Brown solves the case when Idaville's town time capsule gets stolen before it can be unearthed and revealed in a big ceremony.

On the "Blood Brothers" episode of MacGyver, MacGyver exhumes a time capsule with his childhood friends- and it brings back some painful memories of his friend, who was accidentally killed by a gunshot, when his friends' kids seem about to go through a similar experience.

In "Saved by the Bell", there was a time capsule episode that starts out in the future with a new class in Belding's office and they watch a tape of Zack and the gang which was made and put in a time capsule.

On "Parks & Recreation", Leslie is trying to put together a time capsule for Pawnee but a guy wants to include the book Twilight in it.

The final-filmed episode of M*A*S*H was about contributing to a time capsule.

Oh yeah- definitely remember that episode. Can't believe I forgot to mention that earlier- good call.:) :cool:

there was an episode of Happy Days where the gang is putting together a time capsule (including the Fonz's first leather jacket among other things) - the group gets trapped in the basement of the hardware store
