The name of the camp where the twins met was called Camp Walden for girls. Now there is a real Camp Walden For Girls in Maine yet the one in the movie was filmed at Camp Seely near Cestline CA. I wonder why they didn't just call it seely in the movie or just film at the reall camp Walden?

Probably was a tribute by one of the writers or producers or something.
Probably didn't film in Maine because of weather unreliability and probably cheaper do do it in California anyhow.

Thats an OK movie....... I havent ever seen the original one.....

Both movies are cute, fun movies- but the Hayley Mills original version of "The Parent Trap" is classic- can't beat that, in my opinion.
(Though I will admit for this one I do enjoy the 1998 Lindsey Lohan remake version as well.):) :cool:

But thats not the case w/all movies! (I think 'Night of the living dead' (1990) is better than original one (1968)) -- I saw the 1990 one first and thought it was an orginal which is maybe why.....
