I know Opie the Birdman and Black Day for Mayberry originally had laugh tracks, and played better with them, but were they removed when they did the DVDs or before? Strange that they were never put back in.

When the DVDs were first issued a whole season's worth of discs, I think, were missing the laugh tracks. It caused a big moulage and the company corrected their mistake and those who sent in an end flap from the boxed set would get the season discs with laughter. It's been awhile since it happened so I don't remember the details.

It is very jarring to watch a show that you are familiar with having a laugh track suddenly not having one.
