Who designed the Nelson Family clothes or did they just raid their own closet for today's taping?

I can't recall exactly where I read this but I believe that while Ozzie was the Executive Producer, Director and one of the writers, Harriet was the one in charge of the set decorations AND [at least] the boys' wardrobes. I'm not sure if she was her sons' wardrobe guardian for the entire duration of the show or just until they became legal adults, though.

Thanks for the answer. I admired the set and the clothes of the family. A college-aged Rick sure loved to rock that cardigan sweater

In some of the episodes showing on Retro TV, credits show Harriet's wardrobe as provided by Ohrbach's and other famous Hollywood designers...

although as far as the decorations were concerned, Harriet admitted that when "Ozzie's Girls" was in production in the 1970s, she was sick and tired of looking at "that (CENSORED) eagle" over the mantelpiece. The house was supposedly a replica of the Nelsons' real residence....

(keep in mind, however, that Hotpoint provided a lot of the kitchen designing input between 1952 and 1956)....

I have noticed in the early episodes the credits say Harriet's wardrobe provided by Gene Burton's Carousel.

Everyone sure seems to wear a lot of sweaters! Was it colder back then? LOL Guess it was just the fashion. But it makes me sweat just looking at all those cardigans!

Especially under those hot lights! Lots of pit stains and sweat stains I bet after they take off those sweaters.

I applaud Harriet for taking advantage of the clothes being offered to her from those designers.

Ozzie and the boys kept it real with their suits, jeans, & cardigans.
