What started as a personal rift between Selena Gomez and her parents has bled over into the professional world.

According to TMZ sources, the singer fired Mandy and Brian Teefey as her managers last month.

The artist's mother and step-father had served in this capacity for Gomez ever since her big break at Disney.

So, why did Selena cut them loose now?

Sources allege that Gomez felt she had outgrown their influence and is now mature enough for a true professional manager (such as Scooter Braun).

But let's get real, people. Like most things Selena Gomez these days, this comes down to Justin Bieber.

Selena's family and friends have been against her reconciliation with her fellow singer ever since the two started to hang out again earlier this year.

Some loved ones are even planning some kind of anti-Bieber invention to try and talk some dating sense into Gomez.

Will it be successful? We doubt it. You have seen Justin Bieber, right?!? What young woman would possibly turn her back (and/or front) on him completely?

It's unknown at the moment who Selena wants to represent her, but her parents are reportedly unhappy about their firing.

After Selena Gomez fired her parents as managers, the “Come & Get It” singer has reunited with Justin Bieber, much to the dismay of her family and friends, an insider exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

According to a source close to the on-again-off-again couple, Gomez has not been coping well since renewing her relationship with her bad boy ex, 20.

“Selena is now acting a little brainwashed and not challenging a thing Justin says. There was a time not long ago where they were fighting and arguing about their relationship, but now she’s like a robot and completely in his thrall,” the pal told Radar.

As Radar exclusively reported in March, Gomez can’t stay away from Bieber — despite her parents’ wishes.

“Whatever he did to keep her from moving on from the relationship worked a little bit too well, because it’s like she’s a completely different person,” the source said.

As Radar previously reported, Bieber wooed Gomez with $10,000 in flower delivery because he was desperate to win her back shortly after the Academy Awards in March.

Days later he got defensive during a deposition taping when asked about his relationship with Gomez and stormed out.

Gomez, 21, flew to reunite with the egg-throwing singer the next day in Texas, sharing breakfast and then later publishing a steamy dance session the two shared.
