I probably will too but season 7 needs to be out not 1 and 2. I never bought season 1 and my season 2 was damaged

Nothing stupid or crappy about having The Jefferson's Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD! The cover is nice and having both seasons in one slim snap case is a huge bonus for true Jefferson's fans!!

You don't have to snap at people. Some people have different views about things than you. Just because you might not agree with them you should tell them to log out.

Any true Jeffersons fan should want season 7

He or she didn't say they didn't want seasons 7-11 on DVD, he (or she) just said it was a bonus to get seasons 1 & 2 in a slim compact package.

It is a fact. Mill Creek won't be re-releasing seasons 7-11. They only have the rights to the seasons that have already been released. But you don't have to be so aggressive towards people.

Well what the f*ck was the point of them re-releasing seasons that are already out? That is some dumb sh*t and all fans should be pissed

I never bought the originals so I'm glad their rereleasing them so I can get them at a much lower price. Same with Good Times. It is true that at the moment they only have the rights to the already released seasons 1-6 but I hope that they will sell well and that later on Mill Creek can get the rights to 7-11.

You had that option for years on ebay

Yeah, Mill Creek is just releasing this to make money, but at least you get two seasons for a very low price. Besides, aren't the Sony versions starting to become rare?

If you don't like the fact that Mill Creek is re-releasing The Jeffersons on DVD, that's fine. But you don't have to keep ruining it for everyone else and jumping down people's throats if they are excited about it.

Are you telling me you couldn't buy season 1 from ebay 6 months ago???

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that getting two seasons for $15 (at most) instead of having to constantly engage in bidding wars while the price goes up. As a matter of fact, I searched for The Jeffersons on DVD on eBay a few months ago (not to buy just to window shop) and the lowest deals I found was for about $10-12 for one season only. That's an OK deal, but $15 at the highest for two seasons is an even better deal. I'm going to purchase this from Mill Creek as I never bought the Sony releases.

One of the problems with shows that have several seasons, like "The Jeffersons", is that traditionally, sales for DVDs diminish with each subsequent season. For example, Season 1 sells typically far better than Season 4 or 5 of a series. I recall reading where Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, which was releasing "The Jeffersons" back in the early 2000s was not happy with sales by the 5th or 6th season release, so they stopped.

Personally, I think they need to just release the whole darn series at once, all 11 seasons. Yes, it is 250+ episodes and would be several DVDs and maybe not all that cheap of a price, but let those of us who are fans have our show.

And can we please, oh please, start seeing these older shows released on iTunes? That is a cheaper method, too.

A show like the "The Jeffersons" has been in syndication now for over 30 years. The show has made plenty of money for its syndicators. Just give us the show and stop being cheap.

I know what the hell was the purpose of re-releasing the first two seasons instead of 7 and 8?

If anyone buys this season 1 & 2 release, I would be interested in knowing what the picture quality of the shows are before I consider buying it.
