Which seasons of Sanford and Son was the best in your opinion ?

I actually really liked 1. I liked the characters that came later on but these seemed to be the funniest with just Fred and Lamont. I also liked Melvin. I wish he had been on longer.

Stay out of it Melvin, Yeah stay out of it Melvin....LOL Season 2 was my favorite they hit their stride. Loved the introduction of Julio.

Not really a huge fan of the show, but I would have to say seasons 1 and 2 are the best. Beginning in season 3 is when they started bringing in too many secondary characters, and the writing/subject matter started steering away from the type of stories from when the series began. It's like they got carried away and ran amuck with it, messed up the formula. Other popular sitcoms have suffered the same fate.

Season 2 is the pound for pound best with episodes like "The Dowry"("I'm So HUNGRY", lol), "Sanford and Sister Makes Three"', "The Kid", and "Rated X", it's got to be the best. Season 1 is second and has one of my favorite episodes in "Here Comes The Bride"("Look at the family, buncha jive *****s", LMAO).

Seasons 2 & 3. Anything after Redd Foxx returned from his walkout went down hill. There were still some good shows but the series never returned to its highs of 2 & 3.

The one before the season he left the show which was season 2.

The ok seasons were 4 and 5

The worst ones were 1 and 6
