That's just awful and heartbreaking to watch. How the hell do they get away with this is beyond me. I couldn't access the petition. Could be my computer.

I also think it's awful. It's terrible the way this is being handled. Obviously the care she is receibing isn't in her best interest. If she passes away I would think the hospital would face a major lawsuit. I hope something can be done and that she can get better.

I couldn't find the petition.

I heard about this when the father and sisters appeared on "Dr. Phil" maybe 2 weeks ago. They said that the mother was "too unwell" to discuss the story along w/ them.

The hospital had no reason to take the parents' custody of their daughter away.

Thank you, Family Ties. Sorry I couldn't get back in time.
And it is awful. The world sickens me. A child molester can do no time, yet they will hold an innocent girl hostage just because they think she's crazy.

What puzzles me is , I thought every medical facility in the country has papers that you signed that states, something to the event. If you do not want treatment, you do not to have it. Sure most doctors you put your hands in trust do a wonderful job. But if you find 10% don't, you should have to right to say. I would like to have another opinion and you should be able to leave. Now if you die after leaving, that is really now in your own hands. You shouldn't blame them if you leave.
