John Ramsey, father of JonBenét Ramsey, appeared on ABC's "The View" to pay tribute to Barbara Walters who is soon retiring from the business.
Walters interviewed the Ramseys in the year 2000 to discuss their case and their innocence. Walters mentioned that she couldn't say it publicly at the time, but she said on "The View" that she always believed that the Ramseys were innocent.
They mentioned on "The View" that it's very different today w/ all of the reality shows like "Toddlers & Tiaras", so they asked John Ramsey about putting JonBenét in the beauty pageants.
He said that he wasn't involved with all of that and that it was between JonBenét and her mother, though he supported them doing it because "they had fun."
He also mentioned that the family were accused by many of "sexualizing" their daughter through the pageants, but he dismissed that as ridiculous.
He was asked point-blank on who he thinks murdered his daughter and he said, "I don't know anybody this evil. I really do not know. We were a large company in a small town, so maybe we met some shady people. But I really do not know."
