In my last thread, I wrote about a "Woody Woodpecker" cartoon that was made the same year that this show's Kari Michaelsen was born. Just in case anyone here is interested, that cartoon and many other "Woody Woodpecker" cartoons are uploaded onto You Tube. In any event, in this thread I mentioned how, by the time that this cartoon was made (1961), "Woody Woodpecker" had become a much more refined character both in appearance and mannerisms. Well, shortly before I returned to this site, I watched another "Woody" cartoon, this one made in 1941! There was a world of difference between the way that he looked, talked and behaved in this cartoon and the one from 1961! By watching these two cartoons as well as the many others that came between them, you could really tell that the times were changing. Well, as different as these two cartoons are, there is one thing that I would say they both have in common. They both would be considered politically incorrect in today's world. A lot of people from Generation X will say that it is that same type of political correctness that ruined "Sesame Street". Any thoughts anyone?
