Which ones showed the most violence onscreen?

The case of an entire family slaughtered (The one with the twin girls)
Dennis Depue (when he throws his wife down the stairs)
Don't remember her last name but a girl named Shirley was gunned down in front of her own mother by her boyfriend.

off the top of my head those are the only ones where i remember another one that showed the body was Cindy James her real life body was shown which is usually rare.

Off the top of my head:
1) Ricardo Caputo. We see a recreation of his fiance sitting in the kitchen, stabbed to death, and a brutal real photograph of another slain girlfriend.
2) The Brazos River attack. The sexual assault reenactment is probably the most gruesome thing I've seen on UM.
3) The case of the man who pretended to be mute/deaf and then kidnapped his girlfriend and beat the tar out of her. I haven't seen it in years but the reenactment of him hitting her and her covered in facial bruises was horrific.
4) David Lee Kemp. We see a really violent reenactment where he breaks into the house of his ex-wife, shoots her boyfriend and then shoots her as she's getting out of the shower; she grabs the shower curtain as she falls and it rips off. I haven't seen this segment since about 2003 and I still can remember it vividly.
5) OK City bombing segment was kind of graphic. The actor playing the rescued man is covered in blood and the part with him hanging upside-down is also really sad to watch.

Rick Church and Dennis DePue definitely.

I'd also say Adam & Elaina Emery, especially for the sheer out of the blue hostility, and cold-blooded nature of it. The fact that Adam had never been in trouble with the law before, and just snapped on this poor guy - even if Jason Bass had been the car that side swiped him and took off, it would still be totally unjustified and brutal. To take it a step further, even if Jason had threatened him (which he didn't), once he was backing up and desperately trying to get away from a f-ing psycho, he sure wasn't posing a threat anymore...which makes the knife attack even more unprovoked. Watching Jason stumble out of the car and die is always tough to watch. :(

The reenacted crime scene of the murder of Doreen Picard and assault of Susan Laferte was pretty gruesome-looking, I thought. I clearly remember one woman between the washer and dryer and the other on the other side of the room face-down in a pool of blood.

The Audrey Moate shooting scene was a little violent too, IMO.

"Debbie" from NC takes the cake, IMO.

The reenactment of Jackie McAlister getting shot at the Blind River Rest stop was pretty bad.

I may be wrong but I think the Larry Dickens reenactment is probably the only time we saw the person get shot, even if it was from behind through a window. UM was really good at tastefully reecreating attacks and murders while still keeping the creepiness factor. The killer and victim were hardly ever in the same screen shot when he fired. Sometimes, the scene would change to the interviewee right after a gun was raised like with Bobby Oberholzter or the scene would change to the night sky during the gun shot like with Hilda Roche.

But I agree with those about the DePue case. The poor actress who played Marilyn looked like she really did go down those stairs. That was no stunt dummy. And when she reaches the bottom, she turns and let's out this groan of pain that sounds so real. I'm wondering how the crew handled that when they filmed it.

OOH How can i forgot the Tom Johnson case.

When he starts beating the wife with that hammer oh that segment used to give me nightmares about trusting people.

Another mention is Wadada, he beat that girl with the hammer, and

who can forget that woman named Janice who was just out for a drive when the crazed driver in front of her blocks the road and simply walks up to her and shoots her in the face *shudders*

Dwayne McCorkendale was another violent reenactment that was hard to watch. You actually saw the "recreation" of McCorkendale being shot from behind.

You don't see the killing, but I believe you do see the broken golfclub in the Martha Moxley segment. The thought of someone hitting a poor 15-year-old girl in the head with a golfclub until it broke makes me sick. Skakel being out on bail makes me even sicker. :mad:

The Octopus/INSLAW deaths aren't expressly shown, but all three are shown in the aftermath of the reenactment. Danny Casalero with the blood in the hotel room, Charles Morgan laying on the ground after being shot, and the scariest to me being Doug Johnston shot from behind with his bloody hand gripping the steering wheel before falling limp.

I totally forgot about the case of Rufino Castenello (? forgot his last name). The reenactment of him kidnapping a woman and throwing her onto a bed before raping her was gruesome; afterwards she tries to run away only wearing a shirt and he attemps to choke her. That one is hard to watch.

Chaim Weiss :( We see a recreation of the pools of blood on the bed and on the floor.

Very creepy. Seeing through the killers eyes walking towards the car with the da-da music, the rising of the gun. Lifetime eventually cut out the part where he's shot.

I agree! This part of the segment is super crazy. It really scared me the first time I saw it.
Two others I'd add that haven't yet been mentioned:
1) Wadada. I know it wasn't "super" violent (aka blood everywhere) BUT it was very psychologically violent in the sense that Wadada was tormenting Sarah after he beat and sexually assaulted her. Imagine being raped and someone wanting you to apologize and chant and repent for something THEY did to you, only to end up in a coma because they beat you relentlessly with a hammer....and he's still out there. To me, this is one of the most violent and vile segments, but yet I love Sarah Beard, what a strong young woman she was.
2) East Area Rapist. Yes, every post that involves creepiest/scariest/most violent/most sadistic/etc etc etc...well, for me, it's him, so I'll probably be mentioning him when it's my turn to weigh in on almost ANY scary-ass subject. Again, not "slash and gore" violence, but it was physical and psychological violence at it's worst. Scary segment, scary predator. I hope someday he is caught.

IMO, one of the most violent segments is about the person who was feeding seals fish with dynamite in them. Don’t remember the name of the segment but if I remember correctly, it took place in California.

I actually thought the portion of the Jasper Wadkins segment where that woman shoves those pills into an elderly man's mouth and forces him to drink a glass of water was violent. I definitely remember being startled when I saw it.

Even though no one was actually killed or hurt, the jail escape involving Travis Wade Duncan and his accomplices is one of the more violent, action-packed sequences ever done on the show, involving a wild police chase, tons of bullets fired, and attempts to bomb the patrol cars. It's pretty much the closest UM has ever come to resembling an action movie.
