ABC Orders "Bachelor" Spin-off "Bachelor in Paradise"
Mar 21, 2014
by Natalie Abrams

Get ready for more "Bachelor"! ABC has ordered "Bachelor in Paradise", another spin-off from the network's popular reality dating series, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Similar to the canceled "Bachelor Pad", former contestants will come together to find love. This time, however, they're on a remote island, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news.

"The romantic dating series will feature new twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in Bachelor history, plus all the usual romance, drama and tears we've come to expect from the Bachelor franchise," according to a logline.

"It all comes together in the romantic television event of the summer."

"Bachelor" host Chris Harrison will return to host the new spin-off.

"Bachelor in Paradise" Reveals Its Major Twist — Plus: Meet the Full Cast
by Rebecca Iannucci
July 14, 2014

"Bachelor in Paradise" just got a little more dramatic.

The ABC reality show, which bows in three weeks and gives 25 former Bachelor/Bachelorette rejects another shot at finding love/”love,” has revealed a rose ceremony twist that promises to shake things up.

The first group of contestants to arrive in Tulum, Mexico will include eight women and six men — an intentionally uneven number that will automatically send two women home, empty-handed, after the first rose ceremony.

In the next episode, two new men will show uplooking for love, and each subsequent episode will alternate between two new men and women joining the cast, promising to tinker with any True Love hook-ups.

In a nutshell? These contestants shouldn’t fall for each other too hard or too fast.

Here are the 14 men and women initially arriving in Paradise, accompanied by the name of the Bachelor(/ette) who previously sent them packing:

AshLee Frazier (Sean Lowe)
Ben Scott (Desiree Hartsock)
Clare Crawley (Juan Pablo Galavis)
Daniella McBride (Lowe)
Dylan Petit (Andi Dorfman)
Elise Mosca (Galavis)
Graham Bunn (DeAnna Pappas)
Lacy Faddoul (Galavis)
Marcus Grodd (Dorfman)
Marquel Martin (Dorfman)
Michelle Kujawa (Jake Pavelka)
Michelle Money (Brad Womack)
Robert Graham (Hartsock)
Sarah Herron (Lowe)

And here are the late arrivals, who will show up in alternating pairs throughout the season:

Brooks Forester (Hartsock)
Chris Bukowski (Emily Maynard)
Christy Hansen (Galavis)
Cody Sattler (Dorfman)
Danielle Ronco (Galavis)
Jackie Parr (Lowe)
Jesse Kovacs (Jillian Harris)
Kalon McMahon (Maynard)
Lucy Aragon (Galavis)
Tasos Hernandez (Dorfman)
Zack Kalter (Hartsock)

"Bachelor in Paradise" premieres Monday, Aug. 4 at 8/7c.
