I already know that Robert Karvelas was the cousin of Don Adams. But I've also noticed after watching the USA Network original series Monk that there were two guest stars whose characters seem to allude to Larabee: Amy Sedaris, who played Sharona's sister Gail on three episodes, and Steve Monroe, who played Sgt. Myers and Chet Walsh.

In the 2003 movie Elf, Sedaris played Deb the receptionist, whose character is similar to Larabee (and Max and Hodgkins). One of her quotes was "It's me on the intercom," and she has a bad habit of entering her boss's office instead of using the intercom. Incidentally, Peter Billingsley, distant cousin of Barbara Billingsley's husband, was in Elf, too.

On the Nickelodeon series iCarly, in the episode "iPromote Techfoots," Monroe played Braxley, who I think might have been the VP of the Daka shoe company. Braxley's catchphrase is, "I'm stupid," and I've found some parallels to "And Only Two Ninety-Nine," like when Sam hired a cook named Sonya. Near the end of the episode Sonya offered Braxley a blueberry muffin, but Greg Horvath, the president of Daka, yells at him for taking it.

So my question is this: Is there is any way to prove whether Sedaris and Monroe are related to Karvelas?
