“I would be surprised if I ever personally ran a network show again,” says Lawrence, who has two shows, including one on NBC, coming out this spring. “The system has changed. We’re talking about a landscape now where the difference between a 1.3 rating and a 0.9 rating is the difference between a 22-episode pickup and getting canceled, which is crazy.”

Just started watching this recently. I hadn't seen it previously, based purely on the name. Glad I finally did though. It's now one of my favourite TV shows.

I hope Bill Lawrence decides to continue creating and co-creating shows. With a catalogue consisting of Spin City, Clone High (which I've never seen), Scrubs, Cougar Town, and Ground Floor (cancelled too soon, in my opinion), I'm looking forward to anything he does in the future.

I am a huge Bill Lawrence fan from his "Scrubs" and "Spin City" days! His wife Christa Miller is the reason why I even checked out Cougar Town (didn't know it was his show until I saw her). She is one of my favorite tv actresses. Cougar Town is definitely a must watch show that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I will admit - I didn't watch it originally due to the misleading name; however, I don't miss an episode now.
