I noticed this listed on HLN and was intrigued. I assume its a new show, I can't find much about it online except a blurb on hlntv.com. It airs every afternoon (right now anyway) from 4 pm to 6pm (central) so I'm recording some of them on my dvr to see if I like it. Just wanted to share the info with anyone else who might be interested. Here is how HLN describes it:
An examination of real-life cases that invites viewers to play armchair detective by presenting multiple-choice questions about subjects such as interpreting evidence and interrogating suspects. Airing weekdays at 5 p.m. ET.
I am down with this show! It appears it ran on Court TV back in 2003. My listings show it as "I, Detective" but it's the same thing. I've also been recording the episodes this week and the stories so far have been really crazy. Did you catch the one with the woman who was videotaping the drug dealers outside her house? I like when they ask you multiple choice questions regarding the suspects or evidence. As much true crime as I watch I still get all the questions wrong. lol

Me too, lol!
Thanks for the info. I thought it seemed a little familiar when I watched it and I do remember "I, Detective" so that makes sense. :)
I saw some of Detective Files last night and, sure enough, it is the alternate title for I, Detective. I watched that show when it was on Court TV during the early and mid 2000s, and I liked it. It was different from most other true crime shows since it featured multiple choice questions to challenge the viewers. I, Detective was (and is) an underrated true crime series.
HLN is now airing it under the original title.
