Memories from the Set: Bradley Whitford on "Frasier"


You won't see Whitford's face in any reruns of the "Cheers" spin-off, but you just might recognize the voice of a commitment-phobic caller to Crane's radio show in Season 10.

"That was as close as I ever got," he says. His lines didn't take long to record, "Which is too bad, because I look back, and that's the show I wish I was on," he adds. "I love that show."

That would have been cool had he been an actual guest star!

They had a lot of famous actors/actresses play callers on the show. Some I can recognize immediately when I watch an episode and others I don't at all until I'm reading the credits at the end. I was watching an episode the other night, and Frasier was doing the radio show and a woman called in and I recognized the woman's voice immediately. It was country singer Reba McEntire. I think that might've been before she did her own self titled sitcom (which is also very funny).
