There was a tv movie about them with Harvey Korman and Buddy Hackett.

That's good casting.

I think Martin Short would make a good Bud Abbott, if he's not too old (maybe he's not tall enough). Costello is a tough one though.

I think Shecky Green would make a perfect Costello, he looked like him and could sound like him too. Unfortunately he's now busy pushing up daisies. I remember the Harvey Korman movie, too bad they didn't use Shecky Greene then. Though I think Harvey wasn't gruff enough to play Abbott. But trying to think of anybody still alive to play these 2 is a stumper.

Budd Abbott was 38 years old when he started working with Lou Costello who was only 29, so if something like this were to be undertaken think younger (Martin Short is 73) . Simon Helberg is 42, does voices and surprisingly is only two inches shorter than Budd. We have to find a rotund guy born somewhere around 1990.

Yeah, Shecky Green is a good suggestion, or would have been.

If you're going with Helberg, Johnny Galecki looked like he was packing on some pounds there for awhile.

Martin Short is 73? Oof.
